Synthetic leather is made by coating polyurethane resin on fabric or non-woven fabric via dry or wet pu processes. Therefore, there are two types of synthetic leather, dry processed and wet processed. Applying polyurethane resin to micro-fiber, non-woven fabric is how man-made leather is made. Its physical properties are very similar to synthetic leather. Specific types include smooth, nubuck and suede.
