      Polyester Taffeta is made of polyester yarn or imitated silk. It is a crisp. smooth plain woven fabric. It can be used as shell fabric and lining. Now it is generally used as lining.

       Taffeta coating is used in outdoor items. Taffeta is one kind of silk (silk has 4 categories, 24 minor sorts). Now the Nylon taffeta made in polyester is called polyester taffeta or polyester pongee and the one made in nylon is called nylon polyester taffeta.
