Eurobike AG, Europe's leading supplier of motorbike clothing and equipment, continues to struggle with liquidity problems as it posts a further decline in sales for the first half of its financial year.
The company, which is based in the German city of Düsseldorf, said that total sales for the six months to 31 March 2003 declined by 14.3 per cent to € 93.6m with retail sales down 8 per cent to € 68.7m. According to a spokeswoman for Eurobike, business abroad was better than in Germany, where trading was hurt by stock shortages at its domestic Hein Gericke stores.
