Textile majors oppose Turkey''s appeal to back textile industry |

Several countries, including China countered the Turkey''s appeal to support its textile industry.
Countries like India, Pakistan, Japan, Morocco and Tunisia backed the call of China to World Trade Organization that the offer is one-sided and not amicable.
China said that Turkey''s textile market share has not been debilitated in the post quota regime.
However, Turkey is seeking for WTO support to uphold its textile industry saying that change in rules has led to an unwarranted increase in textile exports from China, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia.
The Multi Fibre Agreement had been eliminated in the beginning of this year.
