June China Cotton Fabric Output Jumped 27.42%

According to the updated data from National Bureau of Statistics, the fabric output kept increasing rapidly in June, reaching 3.391 billion meters. The total fabric output in Jan.-June was 17.284 billion meters, increasing 19.89% year on year. During the same period, the cotton fabric output was 9.253 billion meters, jumping 27.42% year on year. The cotton fabric output accounts 54% of the total fabric output.

The biggest spinning provinces of Shangdong and Jiangsu are also leading in the fabric output. From Jan. through June, Shandong produced 4.143 billion meters, reflecting the increase of 35.13%. The cotton fabric output was 2.78 billion meters, increasing 51.9% year on year. The fabric output in Jiangsu was 2.632 billion meters, going up 23.63% year on year. The cotton fabric output was 1.597 billion meters with increasing rate of 14.32%. Guangdong, the third biggest province in fabric output, saw the increasing rate declined to 5.65%, with the total fabric output of 1.215 billion meters in Jan.-June. The cotton fabric output was 850 million meters, showing year-on-year increasing rate of 5.2%.
