Pakistan:New textiles ministry in the offing

Certain key positions seems to have been marked out in Pakistan''s new cabinet even as uncertainty continues about retention of outgoing incumbents. Among them is a possibility of the new Textiles Ministry being headed by Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat cut out from bifurcating the Ministry of Industries and Production. Hayat, who was the Interior Minister in the outgoing ministry is facing widespread opposition in this post from several quarters, including members of his own party.
