Canada : Pantorama Widens Q2 Loss, Sales Slide

Casual clothing retailer Pantorama Industries Inc on Tuesday posted a far wider second quarter net loss as it was hurt by falling sales and the SARS outbreak in Ontario. The Montreal-based operator of around 150 stores announced a net loss for the quarter ended July 31 of C$3.45 million, or 22 Canadian cents a share, versus a net loss of just over C$1m, or six cents, in the same period of 2002.
