The Timken Company first brought its advanced products, technology and innovation to China in 1992. Timken established its Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Shanghai, and has developed a network of eight offices for the greater China region, in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenyang, Wuxi, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Taipei, to serve customers locally and internationally. The company has invested in large-scale manufacturing sites in Yantai, Chengdu and three sites in Wuxi, and has established logistics and industrial service centers to meet the needs of Chinese customers. Timken has also opened a specialist engineering training facility for both its own engineers in China, as well as to share knowledge and technology with Chinese customers. With nearly 4,000 employees in China, Timken is committed to providing expertise in friction management and power transmission.
