Northwest No. 2 Cotton Group co., Ltd., established in 1952, is a large-size state-owned enterprise that combines production operation, capital operation, service operation and import & export trade, has been granted the following titles and awards:"Contract and Credit-Keeping Unit" by the provincial government for 13 years in a row; Leading Enterprise Nationwide in Cotton Weaving; Distinguished Textile Enterprise Nationwide in Quality Management; Provincial Advantageous Enterprise of Shanxi; Provincial Advanced Unit of Shanxi in Business Administration; & Provincial Model Enterprise of Shanxi in Information Management. What''s more, the company has also been ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 14000 and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 authorized.
There are five subsidiaries, partially or wholly owned by Northwest No. 2 Cotton Group co., Ltd., namely, Shanxi Ou Ya Textile co., Ltd., Shanxi Modern Textile co., Ltd., Shanxi Northwest No. 2 Cotton Import & Export co., Ltd., Shanxi No. 2 Cotton co., Ltd. and Shanxi Da Xing Dyeing & Weaving Industrial co., Ltd. At present, the company boasts 0.1 million spindles and over 1300 looms. Hence, its annual production values of yarns and gray fabrics amount to 13,000 tons and 55 million meters separately. The company is capable of manufacturing yarns and threads between 7s-150s and fabrics between 38.4cm and 360m of various width and categories including pure cotton, polyester/cotton, extra-broad, down-like, slub plain, jacquard and yarn-dyed fabrics etc. |
