Highmark Shoe''s have been manufacturing footwear in Australia since 1962.
Early in 1998 we became the first company in Australia and possibly the world to take possession and operate a machine to produce revolutionary DDR (dual density rubber) moulded soles. The potential for this multi-million dollar investment is endless.
The Taipan range of footwear bearing this innovative DDR moulded sole consists of Military, Industrial and Special Purpose Boots.
Dual Density rubber soles are made with low density, nitrile foam mid soles which are lightweight and have outstanding shock absorbing qualities with cushion comfort that allows the sole to flex for maximum ground contact. The high density, hard wearing nitrile rubber outsoles are designed to provide maximum slip resistant qualities with increased surface contact for maximum traction for positive grip and extended boot life. DDR will never break down. DDR soles are non-toxic, environmentally friendly, a natural product.
We currently hold contracts and supply most of Australia''s emergency services with our Taipan range of footwear.
