Chengde Dixian Textile Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as the company) is the first joint stock limited company incorporated in the People's Republic of China controlled by private person. Approved by the people's government of hebei province on Nov. 3, 1999, it was establish as a joint stock limited company through reorganization of Hebei Dixian Textile Company Limited. As of Dec. 31, 1999, the company's total assets were RMB437,580,000 with net assets RMB156,840,000 and net fixed assets RMB277,940,000.
The company is primarily engaged in the production and sale of four-season knitted casual wear and the subsidiary material including spinning, weaving, dyeing, embroidering and sewing.
The company's production base is situated in
Chengde County, Hebei Province, occupying 76,428 square meters of land with a total employee of 6,277. The production facilities of the company are mainly located in spinning, dyeing, weaving and garment manufacturing workshops and there are 7,011 sets of machinery equipment, about 80 percent of which were imported while 20 percent were made in China.
The company's annual production capacity is as following 10,000 tons of yarn and integrated silk, 8,000 tons of weaved and dyed cloth pieces, 1,500 tons of dyed yarn and 20,000,000 pieces different types of knitwear. The integrated silk produced by the company has the advantage of "no knots" and the dyed cloth after scouring can ensure the products gloss and contraction ratio. The computerized printing machine can print 300 types of printing in 13 colors to satisfy the customers various needs.
The company has an extensive and stable customer base for its products. Most of the products are exported to Japan, especially to Japan's large chain stores. In the recent there years, with the export quota to European and American market granted by the China's government, the company's sale volume to European and American market amounted to US$3,000,000 per year. The company sells its products under the brand names provided by foreign client and 70 percent of these brand names are internationally famous. The company has registered its own brand names of "Ban Cheng" and "TALOY" and plans to expand the market under its own brand.
The state ministry of foreign trade has granted the company autonomous import and export rights and, ratified by the general administration of customs, the company's exports have been exempt from examination since 1991. According to the association of textile industry of the PRC, the company ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in terms of foreign currency income and tax in the knitting & weaving industry of china for consecutive three years since 1996. |
