EPOCH is a fairyland with rich rains, harmonious nature and warm-hearted people. According to old legends, it is located near Aegean Sea between Greece Peninsula and Asia Minor Peninsula, and was said to be the only home for Morpheus Hypnus and his wife in human world.
In Greek legends, Hypnus is a handsome young man with blond hair, brown eyes and a pair of wings. He is one of the twins of Nix. Hypnus is endowed with magic power. When he knocks his magic rod or flaps his wings, the recipient will enter into sleep. This magic power is effective to both human and gods.
During the Troy wars, Hera wanted to hypnotize Zeus—“father of all gods” and helped the Greek when he was asleep, so Hera asked Hypnus for help. Hypnus didn’t agree first because he was afraid of offending Zeus. Then Hera promised to let Parthia marry Hypnus, so Hypnus agreed. When Zeus knew the truth later, he sent Hypnus to the human world as a punishment.
Hypnus and his wife lived in an island called EPOCH near Aegean Sea. Like the saying “When in Rome, do as the Romans do”, Hypnus soon established good relationship with local people, and he used his super power to help the misery local people sleep easily and relieve their pressure and pains. He was popular again. Hypnus soon became the Totem and was admired among local people.
