YUD was established in September 1992 under the initiative of the municipal governments of 4 central cities in the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, i.e. Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan and Chongqing, and also the bank of communications-the largest joint-stock commercial bank in China. YUD raised publicly its corporate stock of 650 million RMB yuan with the combined efforts of 30municipal governments of cities along the Yangtze and 386 big & medium-sized enterprises.
The development goal of the YUD is to help create the"Yangtze Corridor of commerce & trade"with trade and transportation as its main body, and gradually form a multiarea comprehensive enterprise group through participation in businesses with great expansive power, including international trade, manufacturing , real estate, investment consultation and non-banking financing, etc. |
