Benxi Silk Spinning & Weaving Mill,15 kilometers away from well-known scenic spot--- Benxi Water Cave, is located in Mingshan District, Benxi ,Liaoning Province.
Built up in 1966,the Mill is a large state-owned second-class enterprise which produces tussah spun silk yarns specially for export. The total assets of the Mill is about RMB69.23 million Yuan. It covers an area of about 190,000 square meters of which 70,000 square meters for building area. There are 605 employees among whom there are 150 technicians in the Mill.
The Mill is operated well with 6 production systems: silk spinning ,wool spinning ,artificial fabric spinnining ,ring spinning ,open-end spinning and weaving.The leading equipments with 13,376 spindles can produce 8-120 count yarns like spun silk yarns, blended yarns ,acrylic yarns etc. There are 112 1515-75" looms with dobby and multi-box devices.Besides these, it can also produce yarn-dyed products such as spun silk knitwear, T-shirts, jeans, fashion dresses, pajamas, silk socks and silk blankets etc.
The annual production capacity of tussah spun silk yarns is 500 tons,of blended yarns 500 tons, of acrylic yams 500 tons and of fibrics 3 million meters.The products have been exported to Europe, Japan, India, America, HK etc. and gained high popularity both in domestic and abroad markets.
